Chairman of the Iranian parliament Mehdi Karroubi is arriving in Minsk on Wednesday as part of arrangements for an official visit by the president of Iran to Belarus.
It is planned that the head of the parliament of Iran will be received by Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko, the Prime Minister of the country, and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Industry.
Within the framework of the visit it is envisaged to sign an agreement on cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
A broad spectrum of questions of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, scientific-technical and other spheres will be discussed. Special attention will be paid to an exchange of opinion on interparliamentary cooperation, as well as on interaction between Belarus and Iran in the international arena.
The Iranian delegation will visit a number of Belarussian enterprises and organisations where it will have a chance to get an idea of the country's industrial and trade-economic potential.
