As decided by the state commission, the launch of the light carrier rocket Rokot /a spinoff from the defense sector/ with two American Iridium spacecraft has been put off to a reserve date, June 20, owing to technical reasons. Earlier, the launch was scheduled to be made on June 19 from the Plesetsk state testing cosmodrome.
RIA Novosti has learnt this from the press service of the Space Forces on Tuesday.
Upon additional tests of the on-board systems of the spacecraft and the booster, the combat crews on Tuesday will fill the carrier rocket with the fuel components and pre-launch preparations will begin.
The Rokot booster with the Iridium craft are planned to start off at 13:33, Moscow time, on June 20.
