Tajik president meets US Deputy Secretary of State

Tajik president Emomali Rakhmonov and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Lynn Pascoe exchanged their standpoints on the situation in the region and discussed the development of cooperation between the two countries at the meeting on Monday.

According to the Tajik President's Press Secretary, Zafar Saidov, Emomali Rakhmonov expressed his desire to make the Tajik-US relations more dynamic.

The Press Secretary also added that both parties dwelled on the issues of Tajik-US cooperation in the framework of international organizations and structures, economic and political situation in the Central Asia and the problem of Afghanistan.
