A delegation of representatives of the French agricultural economic sector arrives in Dagestan on Tuesday. The republican ministry for national policy, information and foreign ties reported that among the guests will be counsellor on agriculture of the French embassy to Russia Jean Jacques Herve, vice-president of the Russian-European centre of economic policy Christoph Cordonier, director of the Malesan company (wine production) Francois Benier, representative of the Aventis company in Russia (production of protein-mineral compounds for cramming poultry and horned cattle) Pavel Kasser and director for international ties of the Gorbachev-Centre Mikhail Davydov.
The French delegation will pay a three-day working visit to southern Dagestan -- the town of Derbent and a number of districts.
"Our guests will not arrive in the republic with empty hands. For instance, they will bring a programme for investment in the production of Dagestani wines and cognac drinks according to French technologies. The proposals to create in Russia livestock farms and to prepare specialists for Dagestan in France at the expense of the receiving side are also interesting," said one of the initiators of the French agrarians' trip Abdulgafarr Akhmedov.
