President of Kyrgyzstan about the role of regional anti-terror structure being created within the sco framework

The regional anti-terror structure, being created within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, "should become an important mechanism in the struggle against international terrorism". President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev said this at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in St. Petersburg.

Akayev pointed out that the earliest possible creation of this structure will allow to take preventive measures in the struggle against international terrorism. The SCO countries should harmonise their actions "as equal friends and partners" in this struggle, the president of Kyrgyzstan emphasised.
