President Vladimir Putin has called on the Russia-European Union summit, under way in Moscow, to transform available political declarations into practical agreements.
When addressing the summit meeting Wednesday, Mr Putin emphasised that Russia, on its part, was set for cooperation.
Creation of the common security and economic space in Europe is a vital and quite an attainable goal, said the president. Moscow has more than once proclaimed the goal, "including in joint documents," pointed out Mr Putin.
He expressed hope that the summit would be fruitbearing, and added that Russia was eager to contribute to the process.
