Representatives of the National Security Bureau (NSB) under the Polish president's office arrived in Moscow on a two-day working visit to take part in a regular session of the Joint Coordination Group (JCG). The Group was set up in compliance with the Protocol on cooperation between the Russian Security Council and the National Security Bureau under the Polish president's office. The press service of the Russian Security Council reported that in the course of joint work issues of expanding cooperation in combating international terrorism, illegal migration, drug trafficking and legalisation of illegally obtained proceeds will be considered. Special attention will be paid to problems related to life support of the Kaliningrad region (Russia's westernmost semi-enclave in the Baltics) within the context of European integration processes. The JCG will be headed from the Russian side by deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council Oleg Chernov. According to Chernov, the obtained practice of bilateral contacts along the line of the two countries' security councils is conducive to establishing partner cooperation necessary for developing harmonious relations between Russia and Poland and providing their security.
