More than 30 enterprises and organizations of the Russian defense complex will display their best products at the sixth International Airshow "ILA-2002" that is to open in Berlin on May 6th. Among them are the leading Russian aircraft designers such as "Sukhoi", "MiG", the Yakovlev Design Bureau and "Rostvertol" corporations. ILA-2002 is one of the most prestigious world airshows, it will last till May 12th and will be one of the most important events of aircraft building in Europe. The show is held once in two years. Its organizer is the Federal Association of German Air and Space Industry. International companies of Germany, Great Britain, the USA, France, Japan, Central and Eastern Europe, North America and Asia are the main participants of the airshow. It is the sixth time in the airshow for Russia. In line with the government's instructions, the "Rosoboronexport" federal unitary enterprise will represent Russia at the airshow. The Russian exhibits will be displayed in pavilion # 9 and at the exhibition grounds of the airport. The Russian enterprise will be in charge of it. The Russian exposition at the airshow has been assembled to meet the demands of Central and Eastern European countries. The demands are repair and refit of their Russian and Soviet hardware. Rosoboronexport said that the participation of the Russian enterprises in ILA-2002 Berlin Airshow will boost military-technical cooperation between Russia and European countries in the aircraft and space sphere and enhance the Russian position on the world market of armaments.
