Last Night Skirmishes Again Occurred In The Territories Of The Palestinian Authority

Last night several clashes took place in the territories of the Palestinian Authority between Israeli servicemen and Palestinians. In the Western Bank of the Jordan River, in the area of the Jewish settlement of Psogot, near Ramallah, the skirmish lasted several hours. In order to neutralise fire emplacements the Israelis had to fire from tank guns. In the Gaza sector, a skirmish happened near the Jewish settlement of Neve-Dkalim. It started with shelling from mine-launchers, after which the Israelis had to open a return fire at the places from where fire was presumably delivered. -O- (kos/ter) 10/05/01 11:44
