International Scientific Seminar Devoted To Russia Is Held In Valencia

An international seminar on the theme Russia Faces Its Future is being held at Cardenal Errera university in Valencia. As the RIA Novosti correspondent reports, the seminar has been organised by the Spanish Institute of Strategic Research and the Intercultural Institute of Self-Government and is being held under the direction of Professor of Madrid University Antonio Colomer and Professor of University of Valencia Carlos Flores. In an interview with RIA Novosti Professor Colomer noted that "despite all the difficulties which Russia is going through it is a major character in the world arena". "Having understood Russia better, which is precisely the theme of our meeting, we will be able to better understand also the world we live in", Colomer said. Scientists from Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Paris and Moscow, who deal with Russia's problems, are participating in the work of the seminar which will last five days. In effect, the whole spectrum of the main problems of the present-day Russian reality figures in the programme of the seminar. It is the third seminar on Russian themes held in Valencia over the past two years on the initiative of Antonio Colomer and Carlos Flores.
