A Russian-Uzbek summit over, Presidents Vladimir Putin and Islam Karimov have signed a joint statement and a treaty on frontier cooperation. They also looked on as two inter-governmental agreements, on economic cooperation and on the principles of indirect taxation in bilateral trade, were signed. Among other documents signed is a protocol on amending certain free trade provisions under the Russian-Uzbek Trade Agreement of January 13, 1993.
