As Uzbek President Islam Karimov's plane landed at the Moscow airport of Vnukovo-2 at 5:15 p.m., he was welcomed by Vice-Premier Alexei Gordeyev. Islam Karimov has come to Russia on a three-day state visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin whom he is to meet on May 4, Friday. Islam Karimov is also to see Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov as well as professors and students of Moscow State University. About 10 documents are expected to be signed during the visit, reports the Uzbek embassy. The state visit will be over on May 5.
