The candidate for the post of the new Prime Minister may be nominated on May 15, said President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma on Thursday. The RIA Novosti correspondent reports that Kuchma, who is currently visiting Simferopol, noted that he is conducting intensive consultations with various political forces with the aim of resolving the government crisis as soon as possible The former premier, Viktor Yushchenko, was dismissed after the Verkhovnaya Rada (Parliament) expressed a no-confident vote to him and the Ukrainian government he was heading. A plenary meeting of parliament is due to be held on May 15. It is not ruled out that on that day the deputies will be presented a new candidate for the post of head of the Ukrainian government.
