The Crew Of The Russian Spaceship Soyuz Tm-32 Is Ready For Start On April 28

On Friday, the state commission at the Baikonur cosmodrome approved the crew of the Russian spaceship Soyuz TM-32 consisting of commander Talgat Musabayev, flight engineer Yuri Baturin and space tourist Dennis Tito. The commission also approved the date of the spaceship's readiness for start - April 28, Konstantin Kreidenko, a staff member of the Rosaviakosmos press-center told RIA Novosti. At the same time, he said that NASA (USA) has provided the crew of the Endeavor shuttle, which docked to the International Space Station last Saturday, with an opportunity to prolong their work on this station by another two days. In this way, the date of the shuttle's undocking from the ISS may be shifted from April 28 to April 30. "This decision of NASA is due to computer malfunctions in the US segment of the station", specified Kreidenko. In his words, the delay "by two days will create certain difficulties for the start of the Russian spaceship Soyuz TM-32". This is why depending on the course of events, the date of its start to the ISS may be revised, if the crew of the Endeavor shuttle does not cope with the program of work on the ISS within the period of time established earlier and really needs two more days in order to complete it".
