Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Vladimir Kuroyedov has arrived in Tokyo for an official visit. As the RIA Novosti correspondent reports, on Wednesday the Commander-in-Chief will visit the Japanese naval base near the city of Yosuka which is situated in immediate proximity to a big naval base of the United States. It is expected that Vladimir Kuroyedov will tour a number of naval ships of the Japanese Self-Defence Forces and aboard one of them will put to sea to watch naval shooting practice. In Tokyo the Russian Commander-in-Chief of the Navy will conduct negotiations with Chief of the National Defence Agency Toshitsugu Saito and Chief of the Naval Headquarters of the Self-Defence Forces Admiral Toru Yshikawa. The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy has arrived in Japan for the first time in the whole history of Russia and the former Soviet Union. Last February, the Chief of the Naval Headquarters of the Japanese Self-Defence Forces visited Russia also for first time in the history of the bilateral relations. Vladimir Kuroyedov will leave Japan for Russia on April 22.
