Yevgeny Primakov, chairman of the Russian state commission on the Transdniestrian settlement (Transdniestria is a self-proclaimed republic of Moldova), will arrive in Chisinau for a working visit on April 18. On April 18 and 19 he will hold talks in Chisinau, capital of Moldova, and Tiraspol, capital of Transdniestria, discussing several variants of the future status of the Transdniestrian Region (two of them suggested by Moscow) and other issues related to the settlement of the conflict. Yevgeny Primakov will meet with the leaders of Chisinau and Tiraspol and experts directly involved in the efforts to settle the conflict. In addition to the Moldovan and Transdniestrian leaders and members of the Russian commission, the discussions will be attended also by representatives of Ukraine and the OSCE mission in Moldova.
