A two-day autumn session of NATO Military Committee is opening in Brussels today. The main subjects under discussion include the situation in the Balkans, development of links between NATO and EU, and also relationships with Russia. In particular, the situation in Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina will be considered. Anatoli Kvashnin, Russia’s Chief of Staff, will represent his country at the meeting of the Russia-NATO Joint Permanent Council.
