Documents of Yugoslavs accused by the Hague Tribunal passed to courts

The Yugoslav justice ministry has announced that it has begun to pass documents of the Yugoslavs charged with war crimes by the Hague Tribunal to local courts. The justice minister's assistant Nebojsa Sarkic said Monday in an interview with the Vecerne Novosti newspaper that the first indictments would be submitted to local courts already today. In his words, this refers not only to the accused who have decided not to leave for the Hague voluntarily. Today the Yugoslav justice ministry expects to receive the final information about the number of such volunteers. All the rest of the accused will be detained and extradited in accordance with the recently adopted law on Yugoslavia's cooperation with the International Tribunal. According to the minister's assistant, so far only former head of the general staff Dragoljub Ojdanic has submitted a written request to the ministry, announcing his readiness to voluntarily face justice in the Hague.
