Moscow and Bucharest intend to step up work on a basic treaty between the two countries with a view to completing it in the near future, said Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov at the end of the talks with his Romanian counterpart Mircea Geoana on Tuesday. Moscow "is satisfied with the signal it received from Bucharest", he said. Now the drafting of this treaty is a matter of time and experts, who will find the relevant wordings that would suit both sides, he believes.
