US aviation dealt a bomb strike at Kabul on Tuesday morning. The Qatar Al-Jazeera TV station reported that several bombs were dropped on the Afghan capital, followed by 3 mighty explosions. It is so far not clear what the targets of the strikes were. The Al-Jazeera notes that the Taliban anti-air defence forces opened active fire. On Monday US aviation did not deal any strikes at Kabul, but bombed the Taliban positions some 45 km to the North of the city. Several F-16 dropped five aviation bombs, two of which hit the positions of the Northern Alliance forces. No casualties were reported.
