Economic Cooperation Projects Between Russia's Far East And The Republic Of Korea Are Quite Realistic

Konstantin Pulikovsky, the Russian President's plenipotentiary representative in the Far Eastern federal district, assessed the projects of economic cooperation between Russia's Far East and the Republic of Korea as "realistic and mutually advantageous." He spoke about it at a news conference devoted to the results of the visit to South Korea by the district's delegation. According to Konstantin Pulikovsky, the talks "at the highest level highlighted the projects of economic development." Among the promising projects, Pulikovsky named the construction of the Russian Far East - Korea trunk gas pipeline via the Amur Region, the participation of Korean business in developing gas deposits on the Sakhalin shelf, and the joint construction of liquefied gas plants on Kamchatka and Sakhalin. The plenipotentiary representative also favourably spoke about the ideas of using the Korean ice-free port of Radjin for transporting Australian alumina and about jointly modernising and running the oil refinery in Radjin.
