According to the paper News, Pakistan has handed over a fourth air base in Panjgur (Baluchistan province), to the US. US aircraft and servicemen have previously been seen on military aerodromes in the towns of Pasni, Jacobabad, and Dalbandin. According to the News, on Friday evening unidentified persons fired automatic weapons at two American helicopters which were carrying fragments of the Black Hawk helicopter that crashed Friday near Dalbandin. The paper stated that American and Pakistani military began shooting at the attackers, but they managed to flee. Pakistani authorities acknowledge that they "are providing the US with ground maintenance support as promised. However, the authorities are refusing to give details of the "support".
