The solution to the Afghan problem will require "vast expenses" and much time, Tajik leader Emomali Rakhmonov said before the meeting between presidents of Russia, Tajikistan and Afghanistan . According to him, "the Afghan problem is very hard to solve either in a week or in a year." He added that the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Afghan people through Tajik territory influences much the provision of stability in the region. Rakhmonov said that the influx of refugees has subsided after humanitarian aid began to be delivered. He reported that "many countries are sending humanitarian aid. Up to 10 planes with humanitarian aid arrive daily, and now humanitarian aid is also available by train." According to Emomali Rakhmonov, "no sharp changes were made to the situation in Dushanbe and in whole Tajikistan after the situation in Afghanistan worsened."
