President Hugo Frias Chavez of Venezuela has made certain adjustments in his international tour and in the latter half of Sunday is to arrive in Moscow on a short working visit, the embassy of Venezuela in Moscow reported. President Vladimir Putin of Russia is expected to receive his Venezuelan counterpart in the Kremlin Monday. The sides will discuss the situation in the world oil market showing a trend to the lowering of prices of this commodity. Venezuela is a chair country of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The sides will also exchange opinions on the international situation after the tragic events in the USA on September 11 and the military actions against international terrorism in Afghanistan. The initial plan of Chavez's tour envisaged visiting Algeria and eight European countries - Switzerland, France, Vatican, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Portugal and Great Britain. However, last Sunday the President of Venezuela changed the plan of his tour and decided to include in his route some other oil-exporting countries, i.e. Libya, Saudi Arabia, Iran (all of them being OPEC members), and Russia. Monday afternoon Hugo Chavez will leave Moscow for Great Britain. Last May the President of Venezuela paid an official visit to Russia and hold talks with President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
