Israeli Embassy Congratulates Russia On 10th Anniversary Of Resumed Diplomatic Relations

The Israeli embassy has congratulated the Russian Federation on the 10th anniversary of the full resumption of diplomatic relations this Thursday. A spokesman for the Israeli embassy said that Israel attaches much attention to developing relations with Russia. The two countries' cooperation is based on the principles of mutual respect and democratic values, and is conditioned by the unique intersection of the peoples' destinies. The resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the embassy spokesman added, was a symbol of historical changes in Moscow's attitude to the Middle East developments which was voiced at the Madrid conference in November 1991. Russian is now a co-sponsor of the Mideastern peace settlement. Israel thinks that, sticking to a balanced position, Russia keeps doing its best to make a practical contribution to the reconciliation between the peoples in the Middle East.
