Israel has presented Palestinian authorities with an ultimatum demanding to "immediately and unconditionally" arrest and hand over the murderers of Rechavam Ze'evy, Israeli Minister of Tourism. The ultimatum points out that all the groups involved, according to Israeli secret services, in terrorist activities, should be declared outlaw. The following radical Islamic organizations are implied: HAMAS, Islamic Jihad, and Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) whose representatives assumed responsibility for the murder of Ze'evy. According to the ultimatum, if the Palestinian National Administration does not comply with these terms, Israel will see such behaviour as support for terrorism, which "unleashes the hands of Israel" for the necessary "protective measures". The Palestinian police arrested two members of the PFLP political bureau Wednesday night fulfilling the order by Yasser Arafat. The Qatar Al-Jazeera TV company said that Palestinian authorities had arrested PFLP's spokesman in Ramallah several hours before.
