Official Kiev has toughened its policy on issuing entry visas to Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Press Service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Valery Dzhigun told journalists Tuesday. According to Mr. Dzhigun, the new policy will affect citizens of the Middle Eastern countries and South Africa. The Ukrainian diplomat explained that this decision was generated by tension in the world and the threat of destabilization of the situation in the world in the aftermath of the recent terrorist attacks in the United States. Mr. Dzhigun added that all Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad have been instructed to stop issuing visas to Ukraine to citizens of these countries. He also said that as an exception, visas could be issued, but only if the Consular Service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry makes a decision to that extent.
