Speaking at a press conference in Moscow, Polish president Alexander Kwasniewski called his negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which lasted for more than an hour, interesting and frank. The Polish head of state added that his visit to Russia had been prompted first of all by the opening Days of Polish Culture in Moscow. I am happy that Vladimir Putin highly values this event, too, noted Kwasniewski. According to the Polish president, the negotiations in Moscow revealed numerous common points. In his opinion, the most important thing for the countries is to cooperate frequently, closely, and informally at all levels. In this connection, Kwasniewski said that meetings at the governmental level and within the security councils of the two countries will take place before the Russian president visits Poland in mid-January, 2002.
