Russian national security council secretary Vladimir Rushailo and the head of the Polish national security bureau at the Polish president's Chancellery, Mark Siwiec, are discussing issues of Russia's and Poland's security and bilateral relations in Moscow now. Russia and Poland "have taken a course for achieving the level of good-neighborly cooperation", comparable to our countries' relations with partners in Europe as a whole", stressed Rushailo. Cooperation between the two agencies is of a permanent nature, he noted. In particular, the next meeting of the joint coordinating group will be held in Warsaw late in October. In Rushailo's words, the main task of this meeting is working out issues related to the September 11 terrorist acts in the USA, which are "closely linked" to security problems. For his part, Mark Siwiec said that "the world is pooling its efforts in the struggle against terrorism" and that Russia and Poland are members of this anti-terrorist coalition. In his opinion, cooperation between the Russian security council and the national security bureau at the Polish president's Chancellery will contribute to combating international terrorism.
