In the past 24 hours no appreciable changes or infiltrations have happened on the Russian-Georgian border, reports Sunday the press service of the North Caucasian regional board of the Russian Frontier Service. Protection of the border has been built up and full interaction secured between the interior bodies of Northern Caucasian republics. Special attention is given to the Abkhaz, Chechen and Ingush border sections. Major-General of the police Ivan Mayatsky, acting chief of the federal interior department in the North Caucasus, reports that protection of the border stretch in these directions is buttressed up by interior units and special mobile police forces, supplied with the required equipment.
