On Tuesday, Lyudmila Putin, spouse of the Russian President, and Queen Silvia of Sweden visited a children's home in Moscow. After a conversation with teachers, tutors, and Moscow social workers, the distinguished guests had a chance to see the conditions of life and studies of the Orphanage's children. Later, Lyudmila Putin and Queen Silvia attended a concert arranged right at a dancing lesson. Then, the guests visited the youngest children - 3-5 years of age, and the senior schoolchildren - 15-17 year-olds. The teenagers told the Russian and Swedish first ladies about their plans for the future. Mrs. Putin and Queen Silvia ended their acquaintance with the Orphanage by visiting the library. Adjacent to it is a medical-psychological relax room where a doctor works with the children. The kids presented dolls they had made themselves to the distinguished guests. According to Barsukova, these dolls were not designed as gifts. The Children's Home sells the same dolls at auctions to earn money apart from the allocated budgetary funds and sponsors' donations.
