Swedish King Still In Moscow

Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf who is staying in Russia was shown Russia's largest natural monopolist Unified Energy Systems /UES/ on Tuesday. The King's visit to the energy holding was organised on the request from the Swedish side. UES of Russia's CEO Anatoly Chubais told the high guest about the modern state of Russian electric energy system, the company's activity and prospects for its development in the light of the launched reform of the sector. In this connection, the head of the UES of Russia company drew the Swedish guests' attention to wide possibilities of investing in the development of Russian electric power. He laid a particular stress on the fact that the energy holding was successfully cooperating with Swedish partners within the international committee on cooperation of electric power companies, organisations and energy associations of the Baltic sea region.
