In the meantime, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports from Washington that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had urged extreme vigilance among all law-enforcement bodies of the country in the face of possible acts of terrorism. All the local law-enforcement bodies have been recommended to decide whether it is expedient to take additional security measures in connection with the military operation under way in Afghanistan and the existing threat. The warning was circulated through the federal system of notification of security threats. At the same time, reported the Fox-TV company, the FBI does not possess any information on any plotted acts of terrorism.
