U.S. President George Bush stated that he gave an order to start the military operation against the Al Qaida organisation and the Taliban movement. Speaking in the White House Bush noted that strikes on targets in Afghanistan aim to stop using that country as a terrorist base. George Bush reported that Great Britain takes part in the operation alongside the U.S.
