Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has said he expects all problems pertaining to Russian natural gas supplies to Moldova to be solved during his visit to Chisinau. He made this statement Friday, upon arrival in the Moldovan capital. Russia and Moldova plan to sign several documents on bilateral trade and economic relations. Kasyanov emphasized that Russia is interested in further gas supplies to Moldova to meet the requirements of its economy. The Russian prime minister said the two countries are now preparing the basis for concluding documents on their friendship and cooperation. The energy industry will be a major component of these agreements. Kasyanov said the agenda of his negotiations in Chisinau includes several issues, among them energy cooperation and trade between the two countries. Moldova's debt to Russia for previous gas supplies now stands at $800 million.
