Israeli Military Units Enter Arab Neighbourhood Of Abu-Sneine In Hebron

The Israeli military units, supported by tanks and helicopters, last night entered the Arab neighbourhood of Abu-Sneine in Hebron. At the present time the skirmish in Hebron continues; the Palestinian side reports about four killed. According to the Israeli version of the developments, the troops were brought in because of the shelling from Abu-Sneine of a Jewish neighbourhood and the Gorge of Forefathers where many Israelis had come in the days of the Jewish holiday - Sukkoth. The Israeli servicemen have destroyed several houses in the Arab neighbourhood from which, as they assert, snipers were firing.
