Russian deputy prime minister and finance minister Alexei Kudrin is leaving for the United States on Thursday to attend a meeting of G-8 finance ministers and central bank directors. The principal meeting between the ministers and central bank heads is to be held in Washington on October 6. The centrepiece of discussion will be information sharing aimed at thwarting financial provision of international terrorism, and joint efforts in this area. On Friday, Kudrin will attend the session of the Russo-American business council and meet US Secretary of Commerce Donald Evans and Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill.
