Russian Premier Mikhail Kasyanov embarks on a working trip to Ukraine and Moldova on Thursday, October 4, reported the apparatus of the Russian government on Wednesday. According to well-informed sources, Kasyanov's October, 4 talks in Kiev will center on Russian-Ukrainian trade relations in general and gas-related issues in particular. After that, the sides will sign an agreement on restructuring of Ukraine's debt for the gas delivered earlier. Experts, who are currently reconciling Ukraine's gas debts, say the debt already reconciled totals $1.4 billion. Kasyanov and his Ukrainian counterpart Anatoly Kinakh will also negotiate a memorandum on trade, which is eventually expected to replace the old document signed in 1993. Other topics on the agenda deal with deployment, navigation and servicing of the Black Sea Fleet. On October 5, Kasyanov will move on to Chisinau, Moldova to discuss gas and electric power deliveries.
