By a decision taken by the NATO-Russia Permanent Joint Council, consultations of the high-level special joint working group on the struggle against terrorism have taken place. A RIA Novosti correspondent reports that the press service of the Northatlantic alliance said this in Brussels on Tuesday night but did not specify where these consultations had been held. Participants in the conference started exchanging information and views on issues related to the September 11 terrorist attacks on the USA. They also agreed upon the procedure of new consultations and considered prospects for cooperation between Russia and the Alliance with a view to defeating this global threat to security and stability, the statement reads.
