The third autumn session of the Belarussian parliament's House of representatives opened in Minsk Tuesday. Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko is expected to submit to parliament the candidature of Gennady Novitsky for the Prime Minister's office. Monday Novitsky was introduced to the Presidium of the country's Council of Ministers. Issues of the Russian-Belarussian union state are also due to be examined at the session. The law on elections to the union parliament may be examined in the second reading until the year's end. The development of the Union State's constitutional act is also underway.
