US Commerce Secretary Don Evans will visit Moscow in mid-October, US Ambassador to Russia Alexander Vershbow said at the meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moscow Wednesday. According to him, this is Evans' second visit to Russia in the last three months. Vershbow recalled the Secretary of Commerce had already visited Moscow in July 2001. The diplomat noted such intense visits' exchange was an obvious sign of the US administration's striving to support the growing interest and participation of the American business in Russia. Vershbow hopes the coming October meeting will give a new impulse to the Russian-American bilateral relations in trade and economic sphere both on political and practical levels and will help to create new business ties.
