Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi is due to arrive in Moscow in the evening of October 24. The Italian government's information service reported on Tuesday that the negotiations between the Italian Premier and representatives of the Russian leadership will focus on bilateral relations, the joint struggle against international terrorism, strategic stability and the future of the ABM Treaty. During the meeting the sides will also discuss Russia's relations with the European Union and NATO, and the settlement of the crises in the Middle East and the Balkans, noted the Italian government's information service. This is not the first time that Silvio Berlusconi, who has been heading the Cabinet of Ministers of Italy since last May, will be visiting Russia in that capacity. In 1994 when he held the post of Prime Minister for the first time, Silvio Berlusconi and Russia's first President Boris Yeltsin signed the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and Italy, which is the fundamental document in the development of relations between the two countries.
