Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri comes on a three-day working visit to Russia on Wednesday, informed diplomatic sources told RIA Novosti. The Lebanese Prime Minister's meeting with Russian top officials will focus on the struggle against international terrorism and the Mideastern settlement. The Arab-Israeli conflict's settlement is needed to win the war against terrorism, the Lebanese Premier said. According to him, this will help to root terrorism away and to solve this problem fundamentally. In addition to traditional issues such as turnover increase, consolidation of interaction in financial and bank spheres, Russia's joining large-scale regional projects involving Lebanon is expected to be discussed. At issue is the construction of a gas pipeline to link Egypt with Lebanon and other countries of the region, branching the oil pipeline Kirkuk (Iraq) - Banias (Syria) to the Lebanese territory, etc. Al-Hariri is to hold several meetings in the Russian Parliament, the Lebanese Embassy to Russia told RIA Novosti. Rafik al-Hariri is to meet Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexis II and Grand Mufti of Russia Talgat Tadzhuddin, the Embassy noted. Hariri is to address teachers and future Russian diplomats in the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Hariri is to discuss trade and economic ties between Russian and Lebanese companies and commercial enterprises and investment problems in the Russian Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen. The Lebanese Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a press conference on the results of his visit to Russia on November 2.
