Germany believes Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania can join NATO simultaneously and is in favour of NATO's large-scale expansion, German Defence Minister Rudolf Scharping told Estonian Prime Minister Mart Laar on Friday. The German Defence Minister stressed the Baltic states had done "a good job" in reforming their defence systems in the light of joining NATO, the press service of the Estonian government said. Rudolf Scharping pointed to the close and productive cooperation between Tallinn and Berlin in the defence sphere.
