Macedonia's President Boris Trajkovski is willing to launch the drafting and passing of a law on partnership with the international tribunal for former Yugoslavia in The Hague. The new act is to simplify the procedure for terrorist arrest and dispatch to the Dutch capital. The President will initial the bill if parliament displays goodwill to adopt it. According to information from Skopje, the act will take an edge of the amnesty issue concerning ethnic Albanian rebels unliable to prosecution on tribunal standards. The amnesty is coming as part and parcel of a peace agreement to cope with the Macedonian crisis. President Trajkovski recently informed the tribunal about mass graves of rebel victims. Florence Hartmann, press secretary to the tribunal top prosecutor, acknowledged the receipt of the President's inquiry though she could not specify the day when Macedonian terrorist crime investigation is to start. The matter is extremely complicated, and a great stock of additional information has to be collected beforehand, she explained.
