NATO and the member-countries of the NATO Partnership for Peace Programme will hold peacekeeping multinational computer command-and-staff exercises in Azerbaijan on November 5 to 16. The exercises have been planned by the Commander-in-Chief of the NATO Armed Forces deployed in Southern Europe. Nine NATO countries will take part in them - the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Turkey, Hungary, Portugal and Greece, as well as ten partner-countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia, Moldova, Georgia and Kirghizstan, and also the International Red Cross. The aim of the exercises is to enhance military cooperation between the Alliance's countries and the partner-countries in the course of the operations in crisis situations.
