Russian Foreign Minister To Pay Brief Visit To Moldova

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov has left for Moldova on a one-day working visit to meet with the country's President Vladimir Voronin and negotiate with his Moldovan counterpart Nicolae Dudae. The purpose of the visit is to initial a basic political agreement on cooperation between the Russian Federation and Moldova. Talks in Chisinau may also center on upcoming political contacts between the two countries. Apart from that, the sides shall discuss Transdniestrian settlement, a problem that interests both Moscow and Chisinau.
