Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is on a visit to Russia, deems it expedient to found a Forum of India Specialists to expand Russian-Indian cooperation. The Indian guest made such a statement in St. Petersburg during his meeting with representatives of the Russian public and scientific circles. The Indian Prime Minister noted that the Indian Historic Research Council will render the required support in setting up such a Forum. Vajpayee also expressed the hope that the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences would become a reliable partner in this effort from the Russian side. "Closer cooperation between Russian and Indian scientists will undoubtedly make a lot of good for both countries," Vajpayee stressed. At the same time, the Indian premier noted that the Russian-Indian cooperation should be given a new impetus both in the sphere of science and entrepreneurship.
