Moscow Hopes For Continuation Of Constructive Russian-Nicaraguan Cooperation In Various Spheres

There are all grounds to hope that the new Nicaraguan Administration will demonstrate the continuity in pursuing the policy course for developing constructive Russian-Nicaraguan cooperation in most diverse spheres. This is said in a communique of the press and information department of the Russian Foreign Ministry with regard to the general elections in Nicaragua. As the Russian foreign policy agency pointed out the signing on the eve of the elections of bilateral Agreement on Military and Technological Cooperation between Russia and Nicaragua has become a vivid testimony of cooperation between the two states. The Russian Foreign Ministry also notes with satisfaction that the November 4 general elections in Nicaragua which judging by preliminary results brought a victory to Enrique Bolanos, a representative of the Liberal Constitutionalist Party, were held in strict compliance with the constitution in force and the national legislation and became one more step towards strengthening democratic norms and traditions in the country.
