Russian Fighter-bomber The Star Of The Dubai International Air Show

The Russian SU-30MK fighter-bomber has become a star at the Dubai-2001 international air show in the United Arab Emirates. The demonstration flights of this aircraft daily attract thousands of viewers. The local press calls the exhibit the dancing plane (it is capable of hovering in the air while waving its wings) and notes that of all the combat aircraft participating in the exhibition, it draws the greatest interest of specialists. Chief designer of the Moscow-based Sukhoi design bureau Mikhail Simonov said that recently the bureau received two orders worth $5.1 billion for the delivery of these planes abroad.
